
Colleen Lait

Colleen boasts a over 17 years in the tourism industry. She was with Green Route from 1993 to 2003 as Operations Manager and rose to the ranks of General Manager of the company at its peak, when Zimbabwe was a very popular destination and the company was extremely busy running many conference and incentive groups. These groups travelled mostly to Victoria Falls, Hwange, Kariba and Botswana, varying in size from 15 people to 200+.
Colleen later moved to South Africa to be Director of Operations of Green Route. Incentive groups travelled to Sun City, Cape Town, Durban, Johannesburg and safari lodges such as Phinda, Londolozi, Mala Mala, Thornybush and Ulusaba.
Some of the groups that Colleen was in charge of in South Africa include KPN Holland (3 x 300 pax back to back), IBM – USA, ING Bank – Poland, Novartis – Australia, Volvo Trucks – Belgium, Xerox – U.K., to name but a few.
She was a specialist consultant for marketing conferences and hospitality programmes for MTN from 2003 to 2010 where she assisted with their large events, together with marketing conferences in Durban, Cape Town, Johannesburg and Swaziland.
Some of the large events Colleen handled : 2006 Africa Cup of Nations: Cairo, Alexandria, Port Said Egypt – hospitality programme for VVIP guests (approx. 1500 guests over an 8 week period) 2010 FIFA World Cup Soccer: Johannesburg – hospitality programme for guests at Indaba Hotel in Johannesburg (approx. 1000 guests over a 4 week period).
Col is based in KwaZulu Natal, and is delighted to be part of the Victoria Falls DMC team as South African marketing representative and liaison person.
